The photobooth that is currently in Ocaña was built in the USA in 1969.
The production of these black-and-white photobooth models stopped 40 years ago. Now they are a jewel of analog photography.
They work with a mechanical-chemical analog development system in black and white on photographic paper of silver halides.
The photos of this photobooth are for life: the photographic paper is designed to make these photos last more than 100 years with almost identical quality; probably more than any normal analog photo or digital formats can handle.
Now there is only one manufacturer of photo paper for photobooths in the world. Once that factory closes, these machines will stop working forever.
The photobooth that is in Ocaña was imported by Alvaro and Rafael, autodidacts and passionated who created the project Photomaquina . They needed about 3 months of work to renovate the photobooth as well as to adapt the means of payment to the needs of today.
